Chris Dowling

Chris Dowling received his BA in Radio-Television Film from The University of Texas at Austin. Over the last four years, he has optioned four properties including three comedies and a drama. “School Night” was originally set up at Sony with David Winkler attached to direct and Danny Bigel attached to produce. His sitcom “Hammerin’ Henry Humpheries” was optioned by J2TV. He has also been commissioned to write multiple features including “Untitled Air Guitar Comedy”.
His superhero spoof “Supaman”, garnered him meetings with executives at Warner Bros, Mandalay, Focus Feature, Miramax, The Walter Latham Co and The Hal Liberman Company. Furthering the relationship at The Hal Lieberman Company, he developed the buddy |
comedy “Black to the Future” with Brian Paschal, their head of development.
His short film (written by, directed by, produced by) “The Plight of Clownana” went around the festival circuit where it won awards including the much-coveted Audience Award at The Newport Beach Film Festival in 2004.
